New unique-to-us “rough brushed” finish. I wanted something raw and funky, not mirrored and poncy.

I’m rubbish and editing videos – are you any good?
Shot some video and took some pics on the ride this morning. They seem OK (ish) to me. But there’s a bit of “walking back” and “doing it again”. About six scenes and some pics. Do you fancy having a go at editing it?
Quite a few people had a go. You can get the footage here.

Tyre clearance issue (joke)
I was reading a thread on Singletrack this morning, about people fitting 700c tyres into mountainbike frames. And then I remembered… The Ragley’s have a very high seatstay bridge (plate) and open chainstay design so that commuters could fit big tyred 700c wheels in. I’ve not checked “normal” sized tyres yet, but bearing in mind this 29 x 2.1in Kenda Small Block 8 “almost” fits, I think we’re in for good luck with fat tyres on 700c rims. Going to nick the wheels of @ninkompoops “Noo Noo” aka “Monsta” later with 42c’s on. I’m sure it’ll be perfect.

Validation and justification through similar attempts
Jeff Jones has just shown this new protosample on his blog – http://jonesbikes.com/blog/?p=796 – The chainstay area has similar thoughts to what I did on (one side) of the new Ragley frames. Always good to see others using similar (new-ish/different) methods – which validate what I’m doing here. I still can’t remember where I saw the design first – I think it might have been on a Raleigh titanium trials frame. But it’s been through so many iterations in my head (see the Alloy 456 from a few days ago) that I can’t think straight.shedfire
