Dear Mr Richards,
I am writing to you with regards to your membership of our Business Associates Scheme.
I am aware that you showed some dissatisfaction with recent developments regarding the moving of the ‘communal’ hot-desking room facility. We have looked into the issues you raised on Twitter and in correspondence with Stephen Curry one of our trustees. The board, as you will know, felt that the right decision had been made by our staff. This was in line with our aims as an organisation to support all levels of business growth and employment within our remit. We have fully explained the reasoning behind this on our blog.
However, any further dialogue with you has been superseded by reports to us of inappropriate behaviour on our premises by yourself last Friday. This we understand included foul and abusive language directed at, and witnessed by a number of our tenants. Along with foul language used to interrupt an online twitter conversation between an external third party and our own twitter account, this is from our point of view unacceptable behaviour on our premises and not how we would expect a member of our Business Associate membership scheme to behave.
I therefore have to inform you that we are terminating your membership of the Business Associates scheme forthwith and that your access fob has been deactivated as of today. You may collect any belongings and return your fob by arrangement with our staff.
In the forum of Twitter you have in the past few weeks stated a number of inaccuracies about our organisation and our policies and we consider some of your activities on Twitter to have been directed specifically at a member of our staff. We have a duty of care under employment law to protect our employees from harassment and personal abuse. So if there are any further inaccuracies published or personal attacks directed toward the operator of our Twitter account we will pass them on to our legal advisers and or the police for consideration and investigation.
Yours sincerely
Peter Hirst
