Proportional chainstay length keeps rear wheel pinned on the climbs, whilst not forcing riders forward on steep seat angles.A change of 1mm at the dropout is the same as moving the rider forward 4mm at the saddle. But without making you sit 4mm further forward

I like the longer chainstays but why is the standover much bigger than on the old 456? What about seatpost diameter, still 27.2? And when will the ti version be avilable?

I have given standover dimensions measured from the centre of the top tube, via BikeCad, with a topped out 510mm fork.
I get the “correct” standover of the 18in current 456 to be 801mm. Whatever is on the site is probably wrong.

Note :: 510mm fork is 130mm. Running a 150mm fork, the head angle only kicks back another half degree when seated, assuming you dial in extra sag. BB height goes to 25mm

how are things going with the bigger seat tube? i’ve got a 456 ss which is great downhill, but quite a lorry going up. if there’d be a 31.6 or 30.9 seat tube i’d instantly buy an evo frame.

Is the Front Centre dimension for the 16″ 456EVO2 correct? It goes from 671 for the 14 then down to 630 in the 16, then back up to 703 and 719.

Yes it does as it’s measured horizontally.
