So – just in. Production is close to completion. These are pulled off the line for me to check.
Along with our carbon Carnegie bar, these feature Kevlar wrapping over the Toray high modulus carbon fibre structural bit inside. The black carbon at the end is then wrapped OVER the kevlar, so that you can trim them down without threads of kevlar getting everywhere – it’s funny stuff.
Bars are molded in our own tool, with a silicone expanding core, rather than a crappy plastic bag like some people use. Silicone gives a cleaner inside, more consistent compression and strength.
All CEN’d, FEA’d and bashed about.
Weigh in at under 200g on my wife’s scales. Which is good, as that’s what we thought they’d weigh!

Should be a touch cheaper than the carbon carnegie’s (as the mold for these costs less). So about £90.
